I’ve been to Switzerland six times, and every single trip just deepens the obsession. It’s hands-down my favorite country in the world…and I tell everyone that, whether they ask or not. There’s something about it: the mirror-like lakes, the way alpine villages cling to cliffs like they’ve been painted there, the sound of cowbells echoing through green valleys at sunrise. It’s all surreal, but somehow totally real.

What keeps pulling me back isn’t just the scenery (though that’s reason enough). It’s the mix of calm and adventure. One day you’re paragliding over Interlaken, the next you’re eating fondue in a 400-year-old chalet. And somehow, it never feels overrun. There’s still magic hiding in lesser-known spots that most travelers miss. These 22 places are the most beautiful I’ve seen in Switzerland…some famous, some I stumbled on accidentally…and each one holds a little piece of why this country means so much to me.
